Days after scores of people died in a bomb blast
at Nyanya, Abuja, a suspected bomber has been arrested by members of the
public and handed over to the police.
The unnamed
suspect was arrested on Monday near a mosque at Garki village, Abuja
and taken to the local chief's palace before officers of Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) Police Command took him into custody.
Reports
say bystanders saw him scouting around the mosque while speaking to an
unidentified accomplice on his mobile phone about his plans.....

Angry residents apprehended and beat up the would-be-bomber before taking him the palace of the chief Alhaji Usman Nga Kupi.
A
palace guard also told Abuja based newspaper that the suspect admitted
to be carrying out an assessment of the mosque before carrying out his
bomb attack.
Official comments are still expected
from the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command DSP Altine Daniel was
unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
