Whatever compelled pregnant Angela to beat up Ijeoma to a coma remains a puzzle. At the early hours of Tuesday, 15th of July 2014, little Ijeoma was brought to the women leader of a town in Delta state beaten, molested and totally torn out. As the saying goes, only the gods know how the cow without tail drives away flies. This is coming up at a period where the protection of the girl child is of top priority to the government of Nigeria. 11 years old Ijeoma was beaten up to pieces by her custodian, Angela who hails from Anambra but living in an Okpẹ town of Delta state.
The story had it that little Ijeoma was spotted fetching water at a well close to their Jeddo home without clothes on revealing brutal wounds on her body which spurred the curiosity of neighbours into querying Angela as to what happened to Ijeoma. Angela bluffed and replied very rudely to the neighbours which prompted the neighbours into taking the issue to the women authority of the community.
At the women's leader premises, the wicked woman said Ijeoma poops at random at anywhere she sees, littering where she trades with faeces. She continued that on the fateful day (sometimes last week) she unleashed brutality on Ijeoma, she had cautioned Ijeoma on a countless number of times without her heeding the warnings. That was when she used razor blade and whips to costume Ijeoma like she was casting an alien role for Star Wars. These pictures were taken a week after Ijeoma was 'costumed'. How would she be like when she was 'freshly' beaten?

When the husband came into the premises, he said 'I don talk, I don tire o. Angela wan kill me, I don pack leave house for her, as I hear the case na im I dey come so o'. Angela revealed that her father in the village who cannot walk released the child to her to live with her. The husband said Angela's sister was the one who gave the child to Angela; a ticklish happening is what it turns out to be. They should call on the child's mother; they said they don't know the child's mother.
Yet, they are asking the child be released to them. An anonymous source revealed that Angela is paying someone N6,000.00 monthly to have Ijeoma work for her. It becomes a case of child trafficking and abuse.
All effort to reach the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) help lines proved abortive as the numbers will ring un-end without being taken. A lawyer at Ogbodu Ogbe & Associates was called on but as at this time, nothing has been heard from her. The Police are presently investigating the case as one Mr. Patrick called on the Nigerian Police Force, who took away wicked Angela and her husband, and sorry Ijeoma in their van.
The Nigerian Police Force and other appropriate authorities should see that little Ijeoma is served justice and properly taken care of
