Woman Sleeps Next to The Remains of Her Dead Husband for Almost a Year

funeral_by_tahra-d3c9nqg
A grieving woman was so devastated by her husband’s death that she couldn’t bear to report it – and slept next to his corpse for almost a year.
The mummified remains of Marcel H, 79, lay undiscovered in a Brussels apartment.
It’s thought that he died of an asthma attack in November last year, but his beloved 69-year-old wife, who hasn’t been named, continued to sleep next to the grisly remains, despite the smell of decomposition.
Neighbours didn’t detect any unusual odours and the authorities in Belgium only became suspicious after the landlord claimed the couple had not paid their rent since 2012.
When they entered the apartment they found the mummified remains of Marcel H.
Philippe Boxho, pathologist at the Forensic Center of Liege said: ‘A body can mummify in a dry, warm environment.
‘It takes at least a week to reach such a state. In this case the body had rotten in the bed and his internal organs had melted and liquefied.
‘This liquid would have spread and the bed would have been swarming with insects as the body rotted, this would have been a real shame.

Miracle! Woman gives birth after 14 years pregnancy in Lagos (Photo)

After 14 years of being pregnant, Mercy James delivered a baby girl on Saturday June 7, 2014..She named her miracle..Mercy, a single parent, said of her ordeal during the 14 years she was pregnant but could not give birth:
“When I first took in, I knew that I was pregnant with signs and test that confirmed that I was. Four months later, I went to hospital for another test, the result showed that I wasn’t pregnant, but had fibroid.
Subsequently, I began to experience bleeding, at least once a day. Sometimes, my tummy would protrude in the semblance of pregnancy. I went to different hospitals, and I kept on receiving the same result that nothing was wrong with me. But deep down inside , I knew that all was not well with me.
So I was taken aback when a midwife told me I was pregnant. But considering the test which showed I had fibroid, I was angry with the midwife for giving me what I felt was a false prophecy of hope. Thereafter, I started going from one church to another and from one native doctor to the other. The results that I got from them all remained the same. I became more feeble and confused that I prayed for death to come.

9 Yr Old girl who Eats, Sleeps and Plays with 30 Reptiles including an ANACONDA and 12ft PYTHON….says she is “crazy” about SNAKES

Little Krista Guarino is an expert snake handler despite being just NINE years-old.
The brave schoolgirl lives with a staggering 30 reptiles, including anacondas and a 12ft python at her home in Michigan, America. She eats, sleeps and plays with the creatures – some of which are twice her size – and held her first snake when she was just TWO.
The plucky schoolgirl has even been bitten a few times but none of the snakes are venomous and Krista claims the bites don’t even hurt! She said: “I’m never afraid of snakes, not even a little bit. I’m crazy for them.”
Krista, the eldest of three children, was first introduced to the animals by dad Jamie, 33, who is a snake specialist.
He said: “Snake was one of her first ever words.
“I knew when she was very little that they were going to be her passion.
“From an early age she wasn’t like a normal kid – she wasn’t afraid of snakes at all.
“She just wants to go up and grab them and pet them and play with them.”
During the summer holidays Krista helps Jamie out at their local reptile house and shows no fear when playing with, training or handling any snake.
She even helps to feed the ALLIGATORS.

Dean Qiongxiu, 66, said she discovered the reptile clinging to the wall of her bedroom with its talons in the middle of the night.
“I woke up and heard a strange scratching sound. I turned on the light and saw this monster working its way along the wall using his claw,” said Mrs Duan of Suining, southwest China.
Mrs Duan said she was so scared she grabbed a shoe and beat the snake to death before preserving its body in a bottle of alcohol.
The snake – 16 inches long and the thickness of a little finger – is now being studied at the Life Sciences Department at China’s West Normal University in Nanchang.
Snake expert Long Shuai said: “It is truly shocking but we won’t know the cause until we’ve conducted an autopsy.”

It’s a photo that never fails to shock new visitors to an Australian pub. A man swallowed by a shark has managed to force his arm through the creature’s gills and is desperately stabbing it.

Desperate fight for survival? A picture appears to show a man swallowed whole by a shark frantically trying to release himself by forcing his arm through the creature’s gills and stabbing it in the head.
Presumably still alive inside the shark’s stomach, he is able to plunge the knife into the its head in a desperate fight for survival.
[Scroll down for video]
In fact the photo has proved to be quite stomach-churning for all who see it for the first time when they walk into the Metung Hotel, in the Gippsland region of Victoria. But all is not as it seems.
The unnamed fisherman did catch the shark and he did end up in its stomach. But first he made sure the shark was very dead before he gutted it and then crawled inside its body to prepare for a prank photo that would be taken by one of his friends.
The dramatic part came when he then pushed his tattooed arm out through the shark’s gills and pretended to be fighting for his life by stabbing the killer fish in the head.
Locals, said radio host John Burns of Melbourne’s 3AW, who was sent a copy of the photo, refer to the fisherman as the Shark Slayer.

Baby Born With Heart OUTSIDE His Chest Defies Odds of a Million to One To Survive

h
A baby boy born with his heart on the outside of his chest has stunned doctors by surviving into his sixth day.
The child stunned medics to overcome the odds despite suffering from ectopia cordis – an incredibly rare heart condition.
The miracle tot’s parents have launched a desperate appeal to help him live longer after he was born in Uttar Pradesh state on Wednesday.
Although the chances of him surviving past his third day was less than one in a million, the as-yet-unnamed tot is in need of private health care and a vital but expensive operation.
But parents Priyanka, 24, and Nirbhay Pal, 31, earn less than £3 a day and have no way of funding the treatment required for their first child.
Dad Nirbhay said: “The doctors said we should go to a private hospital and get surgery done.
“But I am a poor man. We can barely afford two square meals a day. I don’t know what to do. We are hoping that the government will help us.”

According to reports: The birth of yet another deformed infant to a 16-year-old mom from the Eastern Cape has raised serious concerns. The Eastern Cape Health Department is now calling for research into why so many babies were being born with deformities in the province.
Eastern Cape spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo told the South Africa news agency that some 50 deformed babies have been born in the region in the past two years and there is no “documented cause” for the growing trend.
Describing the baby girl born on Saturday at the Dr Malizo Mpehle district hospital in Tsolo, near Mthatha, Kupelo said: “She was born with a small man-hood on the forehead and one eye on the forehead.”
“She was born with no nose and where there are supposed to be eyes there was nothing, just skin covered over the area.”

Angry market women yesterday beat three female undergraduates to coma at the popular Asaba Ogbegonogo market, in Delta State for allegedly stealing various pants at the boutique line.

Eyewitness said that the suspects were caught with the pants after they had pretended to be customers and paid for two different ones selected from the hangers.
It was gathered that the suspects’ who are undergraduates of the state owned university were said to be regular visitors to the market.
But the trust the traders have in them as regular customers evaporated when one of them, a 200 level mass communication student (names withheld) sought to be accompanied to where they could buy good pants and the suspects paid for two packets of mixed coloured pants and in the process allegedly removed three other packets alongside the ones they bought.
Luck however ran out on them as the trader suddenly noticed the removal of some packets from where they were displayed.
They were said to have been beaten severely by the angry market women who raced to the scene of the incident. Police authorities at the ‘A’ Division Asaba confirmed the incident.

She was later identified as “Juliana” by her father, a palm wine tapper, who revealed that he also lost a toddler in the incidence as his wife, mother of the baby while being tortured by the gang was not allowed to attend to the baby.

REVEALED: The Town Where Men Don’t Use Condóm In Lagos

Following his pleasant discovery earlier in the day, Hueze Huesu, in his 50s, couldn’t wait to get home later that night. He felt like a school boy preparing for a first date. He was excited about exploring the world of séx with a ‘rubber.’

girl-bedd-37
“Nobody had told me about condóms until I heard from some people that it prevents pregnancy and séxually transmitted diseases,” he said. However, his excitement was deflated when he tried to explore…
He wanted to enjoy his new discovery with one of his wives t night. He said, “For the first time, I tried to use it when I wanted to sleep with my wife but she bluntly refused. She said she was not a prostitute and queried why I wanted to use a condóm when we have been married for years and never used one.”
Since then, Huese, who has 10 children, has never tried to use a condóm with any of his two wives. “I have never believed in the use of condóms anyway. This has not stopped me from having séx regularly. The woman knows the sign when the man is about to release or reach climax. So she has already even enjoyed it more than the man before he withdraws,” noted Huese animatedly.
The use of condóms is strange to men in Makoko, a densely populated slum town in Lagos where majority live in wooden shacks built on water.
Like Huese, many Egun people in Makoko, as well as Oko-Agbon and Ago-Egun communities in Yaba Local Council Development Area, Lagos, do not like using condóms due to their long held traditional belief in the old practice of coitus interruptus, also known as the withdrawal or pull-out method during séxual intercourse.

Suicide bombers put women under suspicion in Kano

Decontee_SawyerThe widow of late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who brought Ebola into Nigeria, has defended her husband’s decision to travel to Africa’s most populous country, saying he did so in desperate search for a country with better healthcare system than his own country.

In an article published earlier today, TMZ Liberia Magazine quoted Decontee Sawyer, who is a radio host in New York, as explaining that Mr. Sawyer had no trust in the healthcare system in Liberia and had possibly headed to Nigeria with the hope of receiving better treatment for his ailment.
Mrs. Sawyer shared her thoughts on her Facebook profile from which TMZ Liberia sourced it for publication.
“I’ve read other reports in other papers (not the New York Times) about Patrick’s “recklessness.” I get where they’re coming from, and they certainly have the right to feel the way they do. However, as Patrick’s widow, I would like to shed some light on this from another perspective. One that only I, his wife, would know,” she wrote.
“I knew Patrick better than anybody else (including himself). He had told me many times in the past how much he didn’t trust the Liberian healthcare system. He would tell me about how a person would get checked in for one thing, and get misdiagnosed and get the wrong treatment as a result. On top of that, Patrick was a clean freak, and told me how filthy a lot of the hospitals were.

Girl Drugged And Defiled By Man She Met On Facebook

She claims she met the man on Facebook and both arranged for a friendly date after one month of lovey dovey inbox messages.

The man picked her up in a Range rover car and drove to upmarket westlands for a drink. She decided to have red bull since that was their first time of meeting and didn’t want to leave a bad impression.
During their date, she excused herself and went to the loo, that was when the man drugged the red bull she was drinking.
The girl only remembers being drowsy and someone dragging her to the car. She was half awake but still weak when the man together with other assailants defiled her repeatedly. She lost count of the number of times she was defiled.
She only came back to her senses when good samaritans found her in Umoja 2, Kenya in a very bad state.
The girl said her v**ina was sore and couldn’t walk properly.

Soldiers on Monday, in Koko, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State attacked and injured police officers from Delta State Police Command, who were on escort duty with the state Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu.
A police corporal who drove one of the police vehicles, was beaten to a bloody pulp by the soldiers for allegedly blaring siren in the premises of the Warri North Local Government Council, which is close to a military outpost. He fainted in the process and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Sources say junior police police officers were planning a showdown with soldiers in the state, as they said it has become a tradition for them to attack police officers in the state without justifiable reasons.
Confirming the attack, State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ikechukwu Aduba, said the soldiers accused the police officers of blaring siren inside the secretariat of the council.
“It is sheer brutality. I have reported the matter to the Inspector General of Police and contacted army authorities in the state, but they said they did not authorize the assault.
“They told us that there is no bad blood, but there is bad blood. Why did they attack fellow uniformed men in such a manner in the course of their duty? We are making a formal report on the incident.
“My stand is that the soldiers responsible for this attack should be fished out and made to face the music.”

Irate youths yesterday set ablaze a suspected kidnapper at Odo-Oja in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The suspect, said to be in his late forties, was allegedly found in possession of a child’s body about 7:40am at Mashood on Mofere Street at Eyitayo Estate.
The youths, numbering about 50, stri*ped the suspect bare before beating him to a state of coma. They also hung used tires around his neck, doused him in petrol and set him ablaze.
An eyewitness said: “The man was initially handed over to the Oodua local vigilance group. We expected them to torture him but they (the vigilance group members) did no such thing. They kept him there and wasted our time. At a point we got angry and took him to the main road and burnt him”.
However, the police warned residents against taking the law into their hands, adding that “the command will deal with whoever is found engaging in such”.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi, told reporters in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital that the incident was “regrettable and inhuman”.
He said: “The action of Ikere youths is condemnable and regrettable. There is no jungle justice in Nigeria’s Laws. It is barbaric for people to kill and set ablaze a suspect without resorting to security agencies. This will not be tolerated”.

Many killed as terrorists raze police station, churches, others in Maiduguri

Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram sect members, yesterday, attacked the border town of Gwoza at dawn; setting ablaze the Divisional Police Station, council secretariat complex and other buildings.

Scores of people were killed in the process. Gwoza is a border council headquarters, and 135 kilometres southeast of Maiduguri, the state capital.

The gunmen, according to a resident, Yahaya Mbursa, also burnt down two churches, before snatching unspecified number of vehicles at the motor-park near the burnt police station, before fleeing into the hill tops of Mandara Mountains and Sambisa Forest, yesterday morning.

Another eye witness, Mbursa Ibrahim, a bus driver at the motor-park, also said: “The Boko Haram dawn attacks were very shocking and terrifying, as the gunmen burst into this town through the mountain tops and western forest of Sambisa, 18 kilometres from this town. Some of the residents had to flee into nearby bushes and hills, near this market square.

Ebola: No need for panic, understand the facts

The first time that I heard Ebola was from a Reader’s Digest that I read many years ago. The depiction of its virulence, rampant potency of the disease was that of horrific movies. So I thought it was consigned to the past. Was I wrong? The virus emerged in 1976 in an isolated village near the Ebola River in the Democratic Republic of Congo and that is where it got its name – Ebola; Ebola is real and so far, has claimed hundreds of lives in West Africa and rest of the world is anxiously waiting that it does not visit its shores.

The latest outbreak in West Africa is the worst on record – killing more than 670 people – and is also the first to affect people in cities and not just remote villages. In Guinea, the epidemic has reached the capital, Conakry. “The scientific world agreed that it is a major concern that might spread to the rest of the world. We all need to take personal responsibility and ensure that we do not help to spread the disease.

The Likely Cure For Ebola, By Dr. Simbo Davidson

On 22 July 2014, the first case of the dreaded Ebola virus arrived in Nigeria via an Asky aircraft. However, no one knew it at the time. How did this happen? How had this patient been screened at his port of departure, that is Liberia airport? We can also ask ourselves yet another question. Why is it taking so long to curtail the epidemic? For instance, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recently announced that as at 23 July 2014, the Ebola epidemic had claimed 672 lives. Furthermore, there are currently 1201 suspected and confirmed cases across West Africa. In terms of intervention, the current strategy appears to be related to the use of universal precautions: case isolation, hand-washing, and health worker protection and palliative treatments (such as pain management, and rehydrating fluids).

In theory, this strategy may be quite effective. This is because epidemic control strategies usually aim to reduce person-to-person transmission through avoidance related methods (WHO, 2014). In this case, persons at risk will need to avoid contact with the body fluids of infected person, including sweat, semen, vomit, faeces, urine, blood and saliva (Infection Control for Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers, WHO 2014).

India, Greece advice nationals not to travel to Nigeria

The United States of America, yesterday, dashed the hope of an early cure for Ebola Virus victims in Nigeria when it refused to share the trial drug with Nigeria. US President Barak Obama says it would be premature to share the experimental drug with Africa.

The Federal Government had earlier reached out to the United States Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, in Atlanta, to request for the drug for treatment of EVD affected persons in Nigeria, but President Obama turned down the request, saying it would be far more beneficial to focus on prevention instead.

“Era of Election Manipulation in Nigeria is Over” – Pres. Jonathan at U.S-African Leaders Summit

PIC. 11. PRESIDENT JONATHAN ARRIVES IN WASHINGTON
Abuja (NAN) ─ President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday said the days when a few politicians could hijack voting materials and manipulate the outcome of elections to their personal advantage were over in Nigeria.
He stated this on Monday in Washington DC at a meeting with Nigerian professionals in the United States on the sidelines of the ongoing
U.S.-African Leaders Summit.
Jonathan, according to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, says he remains committed to credible elections in the country come 2015.
He said: “The era when a few politicians, acting in concert with their hirelings and thugs to snatch voters cards, ballot papers and other electoral materials, is gone for good in Nigeria.
“I remain fully committed to keeping the promise I made in 2011 that my administration will do everything possible to ensure that the elections in Nigeria become very free, fair and credible.’’
The president emphasised that the pledge had been fulfilled in recent elections in Edo, Ondo and Ekiti.
He said the Federal Government would take steps to ensure that no individual, group or political party was able to thwart the legitimate choice of genuine voters in Saturday’s governorship election in Osun.
“The issue of credible elections must be institutionalised in Nigeria. Our electoral processes were not very good or credible when we came into office.

Lagos doctor infected with Ebola virus

Ebola virus
. 3 health workers show symptoms – Minister
Nigeria has recorded the first Ebola case affecting a local that of a female doctor who treated a Liberian man who died from the virus after his arrival in Lagos two weeks ago.
The Federal Ministry of Health said yesterday three other health workers who participated in the treatment of Mr. Patrick Sawyer have also shown symptoms of having being infected with the virus.
These three, as well as five others who had direct contact with the late Liberian man, have been quarantined, Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu told journalists in Abuja yesterday.
Seventy other people—up from 69 last week—with lesser degrees of contact with Mr. Sawyer are on surveillance.
“Today we have the first of those health personnel who have now become Ebola-positive and being treated as such,” the health minister said at a news conference.“Three others who participated in the treatment, who are also symptomatic, have had their samples taken, and hopefully by the end of the day we should have the results of their tests.”
The infected Lagos doctor, whose name has not been released, was diagnosed positive for Ebola at the weekend, hours after two other medical personnel tested negative.
Until Friday, tests on Sawyer’s doctors and others with indirect contact with him were still negative. It can take up to 21 days after exposure to the virus for symptoms to appear.
“But by weekend there were others who also participated in attending to the patient. These other newer (ones) who have not had symptoms developed symptoms over the weekend,” Chukwu said at the regular Ebola briefing in Abuja.

Breaking: Al-Makura stays as governor, 16 charges dismissed

Tanko Al-Makura
-
Panel dismisses all 16 charges
-          Hall echoes in “as the court pleases
The panel investigating the allegations of gross misconduct leveled against Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State, by the state assembly, has just dismissed all the 16 charges raised in the notice of impeachment signed by 20 of the 24 lawmakers.

The panel dismissed the case on grounds that the assembly, although made appearance through their legal representatives, failed lead evidence in proof of the allegations against the governor.

The Seven-man panel reconvened from a long break it took to consider the submissions before it by both parties: the 20 members of the House, who were represented by a legal team; and Governor Al-Makura, who is represented by a team of nine counsels.

Counsels to the House announced appearance, but insisted that they did so in protest, asking the panel to disqualify itself from sitting because members on it are not suitable to sit over the case. Ocha Ulegede had said members’ boycott was not because the House did not want to violate the provisions of the constitution, but because as lawmakers, they will not participate in the breach of the constitution.
